Atlatszo.hu wins press prize for environmental reportage

Atlatszo.hu last week received a press award for its coverage of the controversial plan to construct a mobile dam at the Római part riverbank area in northern Budapest. The eight articles and video reports focused on different aspects of the flood control plans, including the privatisation of boathouses, the felling of 1,400 trees and the prospect of poor planning leading to serious safety issues during Danube floods. The “Green Award (press category) is organised by television channel OzoneNetwork and news website Origo.
