Amphetamine found in weight loss capsules available in online shops

Atlatszo.hu found out that illegally distributed weight loss pills called ‘Adipex retard’ contains phentermine, which according to Wikipedia is a contraction of “phenyl-tertiary-butylamine”, which is a psychostimulant drug of the phenethylamine class. It is pharmacology similar to amphetamine. Phentermine is a medically used appetite suppressant, but beyond its amphetamine-like side-effects it can also cause psychosis. We also found out, that some months of taking this pill can cause dependence and the rehabilitation takes 3-4 months. In Hospital Gyula Nyírő doctors are currently curing patients connected to these capsules. Considering that this pill seems to be popular within unaware women who’s aim is only to lose weight makes this case even more distressing.
