Atlatszo.hu published leaked 2012 budget of the public media fund
Since the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) rejected our requests to disclose their last fiscal year’s budget, atlatszo.hu obtained the data through an insider leak. The documents show how public money was spent on contracts with Fidesz-related media entrepreneurs and failed tv productions. Leaked budget shows that the biggest beneficiaries of the Fund’s outsourcing policy were media companies and producers close to the governing party, like Gábor Kálomista producer or László Jáksó’s company that produced the failed sitcom Marslakók. The companies which gained between 500 – 800 million HUF a year are followed by some other sub-contractors like the openly pro-government showman Sándor Fábry’s company.
