Public media contracts should be published – first decree verdict says

Atlatszo.hu filed a freedom of information request to the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) to learn about the production and transmission rights and occasional amendments to the contracts of several TV shows and documentary series. The Fund denied our FOIA request referring to trade secrets and intellectual property. As the defendant was unable to prove their statements, according to the Budapest Tribunal court’s first decree verdict MTVA has to obtain the requested documents.
