The wealthiest Hungarian, Sándor Csányi is the one who doesn’t have to explain his wealth because he was officially proclaimed being an oligarch by one of Hungary’s leading politicians in public. Fidesz strongman János Lázár made some remarks about the negative influence of a large bank (that “seems to be Hungarian”) on the country; and about its president. Although Mr. Lázár was hinting at the largest Hungarian bank OTP’s president because of a different matter; he was right in stating that Mr. Csányi is one of the most influential businessmen in Hungary.
