State Holding Company accuses our FOIA request of being abusive

Hungarian State Holding Company (MNV Zrt.) refused our freedom of information request about their property registers on the discussion which took place at the Budapest Metropolitan Court last Friday. MNV’s legal counsel claimed that publicity could be a disadvantage for state owned companies. In Atlatszo.hu’s opinion some impact on property values could be possible but it cannot be an obstacle in the right of freedom of information. Court will judge our lawsuit on 30^th May. Atlatszo.hu will publish both the verdict and the defendant MNV’s counterclaim later.
