We appeal to the Constitutional Court after the first non-appealable dismissal

Atlatszo.hu filed a freedom of information request last summer to the Ministry of the National Resources to learn about the audit report of the Opera House, made by the minister’s commissioner. According to press informations, the 600 page report detailed abuse of one billion forints. The minister refused our request, so we took legal actions, but our lawsuit had been rejected by the Budapest Court. We appealed against the first-degree decision at the Budapest Area Tribunal. In their non-appealable dismissal’s justification the Tribunal claimed, that the data handlers can not be expected to sort out all the public data. In our opinion these verdicts are against the 6th act of the Constituion, so we apply to the Constitutional Court to assure the freedom of information rights.
