We made spending of Hungarian Parliament more transparent

List of contracts of the Parliament is public on its website, but now bulk data are available in user-friendly format. Atlatszo.hu scraped the database to excel (link), in this way journalists and citizens can easily search and filter the data. We started to check the spending of factions and Office of Parliament: article introduces some high-value contracts. The consultancy contracts of factions (communication, opinion research, business consultancy) are especially interesting, some well known names appear among the partners. The main goal of this web scraping was to give input to other journalists to investigate the contracts and to make it more transparent for citizens.
