Atlatszo became a member of the Anti-Corruption Working Group of the then established Integrity Authority in 2022.
Following our story, Transparency International Hungary turned to the Integrity Authority, which now said that it had found serious irregularities in the investigation and had filed a criminal complaint for the crimes of budget fraud, restrictive agreement, and use of forged private documents.
However, the police, the prosecutor's office and the court said that there was no need for an investigation.
Ferenc Bíró, the chairman of the Integrity Authority, did not feel the need to justify his decision, but then had second thoughts.
A new call for applications has been published by the Integrity Authority to fill the places of the resigned non-governmental members of the Anti-Corruption Working Group.
Some non-governmental members of the Working Group did not vote for the adoption of the report: the delegates of Transparency International Hungary, K-Monitor and Átlátszó voted no, and two other civilian members abstained during Monday's vote.
We first tested this commitment and, somewhat to our own surprise, our application for this working group was accepted.
