We publish censored scientist’s article

Scientist Béla Darvas, doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, professor of doctoral schools was asked to write an investigative report with András Székács on GM polluted seeds transported to Hungary. They were requested by Tibor Gazsó, associate of the Fidesz-related Századvég Foundation, editor-in-chief of the rightwing think-tank’s publication “Nemzeti Érdek”. The research and the exact writing of the column took one month for the authors and it was to be published in the autumn issue of the journal. Finally, it never happened. We published the article which investigates the pros and cons of the GM plants import to Hungary. As Darvas argues, this kind of process is not unique in the scientific life: critical approaches often get censored by different authorities.
