Spa parties benefit bath leader’s son and friends

‘Bath sparties’ have evolved a tradition in famous Budapest baths in the last two decades. After Cinetrip organised its world-famous night gigs in the city’s historic baths, Budapest Spas and Hot Springs (BGYH Zrt.) of the city council started its own parties, called Night of the Baths (Fürdők éjszakája). The first sparty in 2009 was organised by BGYH Zrt, but for the second event in February 2011 the company signed up with Est Media Group. The party showed deficit which may have been caused by the increased security regulations due to last month’s disco tragedy, as Attila Balatoni, former colleague of the group informed us. BGYH said good bye to the Est Media Group and made a contract with 4BRO Hungary Kft for the next sparty. The company which runs the night club 4BRO Bistro and which is involved in the operation of Ötkert pub has been chosen for their cheap and overall offer with references, marketing-director Szilvia Czinege told us. Our investigation has shown that one owner of 4BRO Hungary Kft is Máté Manninger, son of Jenő Manninger former MP of MDF and Fidesz and Erzsébet Darida, deputy-CEO of BGYH Zrt. 4BRO has been replaced by Friends Club Hungary Kft, due to attacks claiming incompatibility, Czinege said. Although the new organizer of the next sparty had its own references, it has its telling relationship to the former company in charge: Friends Club’s founder György Sallai used to be a colleague of Máté Manninger at the Monster Energy Fridge Festival. Manninger claimed his mother had no impact on his assignment. Sallai did not answer our questions.
