Hotel on a playground

Fifth District is the central part of Budapest with a shortage of green areas. In its earlier article atlatszo.hu listed the residential properties that the Municipality sold in the last years, but we found that one of the last parks in the district will be also closed. This park is used by a kindergarten as a playground, and a small part of the old city wall is also here. It did not hamper the Municipality to sell this area to an investor: a five-star-hotel will be built. The contract is unusual, since the Municipality kept a 20% stake in the project company.
