In its new series atlatszo.hu investigates why state-owned corporations operating in quasi monopoly situation pay so little dividend to the budget. The first article is about the gambling monopoly Szerencsejáték Zrt; its taxed profit (5-6 bn HUF) is relatively low compared to sales revenues (150-170 bn HUF). The state-owned corporation spends almost 3 bn HUF on television lottery shows without public procurement, and the supplier is a program maker Hung-Ister Zrt, a company close to politics from many respects. The contracts received from Szerencsejáték Zrt. show that the two companies elaborated a complex construction for the production of television shows.
